I haven’t really been exploring on the LX3 I have after getting it since I mostly using the Aperture Priority Modes that I will use on any given camera ( Provided the camera has it ). Few days ago, I am trying to look into the Custom Settings features on the LX3 ( LX3 allows up to 4 Custom Settings to be registered by the users ) and found a good use of it for myself.

I think a lot of peoples would be interested with the comparison between Panasonic DMC-LX3 (~USD450) & The Leica’s D-Lux 4 (Red Dot version of the LX3 @ ~USD850). For those that are new to the Panasonic’s LX series vs Leica’s D-Lux series, Panasonic OEM their LX series to Leica and sold as different product. The big different would be the product design and the Firmware where the rest of the major parts like the CCD and Opticals are the same.

这两年里，我的耳朵一直有回响着：“Panasonic DMC-LX3怎么还没有推出？”我早已把这个句子背起来了。没错，这句话就是我身边最亲密的人常对我说的。自从2005年，我们两人去上海江南旅行回来之后，我们发现到去旅行背着一个大书包走走看看很不方便！！去旅行少不了走动，这些走动可能比我平时的步行还要多，再加上一个大大书包装着大相机，简直超累。当然有大相机，拍出来的照片也不错！！

为了解决将来的旅行不要背大书包装着大相机，他开始上网留意比DSLR较小型的相机， 就是Compact Camera（随身相机）。随身相机的定义就是 一般体积小的，重量轻和方便实用，最适合旅行和日常生活。虽然他没有提供可互换镜头，可是他们完全可用于快照和一些不雇佣一些其他摄影器材，拍出好照片。（The general term for small, light cameras designed for convenience. I posted a photo taken at my company’s parking lot, showing the tree with golden leaves couple of weeks ago on the post talking about taking picture of Blue Sky. In just more then a week, the glories of the tree has just turned into something entirely different. It is pretty weird seeing that happened just within days.. I guess that would be the same thing happen to us in our lifes. Things that are good may not last long and we will just miss it if we never treasures …
