Make sure you choose ESP, ESC, DSC, VSA or VSC for your next car

I am actually quite surprise that this has not been really talked about nor is a concern by most of the Malaysian drivers when choosing a car to buy. My recent participation in local forums on discussing about my next car to buy seems that the majority people in Malaysia choosing a car based on the following priority from High to Low

- Brand, Model, Outlook.. how big the wheels are.. must have solid disc brakes and etc.
– Resale values
– After sales services and spare parts
– Value for money
– Fuel Consumption
– Safety features

I have actually put Safety features into the #1 criteria when I am in search for new car as long as they are within my budget ( Maybe I have very poor driving skills or I am a kiasi (Scare of dead in Hokkien) driver ). So, here I am wish to bring this up hoping more and more people could learn and expose to these new technologies if you still haven’t know what is this and how this could save your life, or your loves one.

Not to talk to much.. you can just watch all these youtube clips and there are a lot of related clips after you start watching. I don’t know what else to say if these do not convince you of the importance for ESP, ESC, DSC, VSC, VSA or any Stability Control features which the Car Industry called “The best safety feature since Seat-belt is invented”. It is your life, your family’s lives.. not mine.

This shown how each of the ABS, TC and ESP works in different areas.

Lastly, I have personally encounter this at Bukit Merah Exits to the N-S Highway years back.. you can say my driving skills are bad and caused the oversteer but all I want to say is.. these accident will happen.. and when its happen, it is probably too late for you to regret you do not have the extra safety feature that could avoid it.
