Canon has launched a few models prior to the Photokina 2008. The released model included the following
- The long awaited Full frame EOS 5D MKII to replace the successful 5D that has been in the market for 3 years now.

This camera cost USD 2,699 with only camera Body.. ( Meant no lens to come with the camera and you need to buy own lens to use it if don’t have any. ) You need both Camera + Lens before you can take any photo after paying USD2,699.
So, most probably is just another dream of wanting the camera but never buy. /down

S1IS is pretty old camera already. It was released before they released the S5IS with USM. I think SXIS will be good with the requirement not set too high /sweat
We also sort of decided and aware of not convenience to bring huge and bulky camera on vacation. That is why “If” buying this camera.. it is sure not a camera for vacation but purely for “Luxury Hobby” in /photo oops

There are no best camera out there so far, each of them have their own pros and cons. It is however, Nikon is consider very good and for at the moment this is posted, there are many area that Nikon is better then Canon. There are many times that I asking myself if I want to change my system to Nikon from Canon… but then.. that cost too much. ( I was choosing Nikon vs Canon in 1996.. but due to the shop only has the Canon i am looking for that time, i ended up having Canon until now and some time.. still regret why i got Canon in the first place /phew )
That is not really true, i think is rather if i want or don’t want. Sock Peng has been a very good and understanding wife /yeh
you are right, a good lens is far more expensive then the camera body itself ( only the Entry, Mid level Camera body ). Do remember a camera body will get changed / replaced very often when new models / technologies are available. So, lenses investment are mostly more encourage rather then camera body investment. You can always start with a reasonable entry or mid-low model with the kit lens. Entry level dSLR is no longer expensive now a day compared to when i first got mine couple of years ago.
A friendly reminder that dSLR is not really suitable for everyone, everywhere. e.g. I hopes I don’t needs to bring dSLR everywhere that I go and wish for a smaller camera in stead /faint
No lah.. no more dSLR for recent future… especially shooting alone here kind of boring. I only knew that when i want to get my next dSLR, it will be FF but not so soon.
