下雨的周末忙下厨
8月16日 星期六-可以骗人的炒米粉 这个周末，我们打算到Cripple Creek看游行和烟花燃放，可是老天不作美，一早醒来天空已经阴沉沉，较后就开始下雨了。幸亏我们没有出外，不然我们可能变成落汤鸡。夏天的天气变幻莫测。前几天的炎热，今天的天气温度竟然下降到10度摄氏，家里的冷气也转换成暖气。夏天的天气竟然会有10度摄氏！！ 既然没有出外，不如在厨房玩一玩。要玩什么呢？我在厨房炒米粉！！很久没有吃炒米粉了，开始想念在马来西亚的时候，可以在路边买包经济米粉的日子。甚至想念爸爸在巴杀买给我的马来人炒米粉。 … [Read more...] about 下雨的周末忙下厨

8月9日 星期六 踏入夏天之后，每个周末都会看到路边摆放着" Garage sale, yard sale, moving sale, junk sale等等字眼在路边的牌子。这些字眼，惹人注目，弄到我很想去，可是没有机会。 到底Yard Sale是什么呢？Yard sales, 是当地居民在家门口或院子里贩卖已用过的家庭用品，不必申请售卖执照也不必交税。通常居民在打扫除之后，把不要用的家庭用品拿出来卖，这些贩卖的产品，有些是很残旧了，有些是新的，有些只用过一两次。既然这些东西都不要了，不如拿出来卖，又可以赚少许钱。有些居民办Yard Sale是为了减少搬家的重量。 … [Read more...] about Yard Sale + waffle
